I started Ahrris Lihl Press with a simple, personal mission: to publish books that stay with you long after the final page. As an independent publisher, I wanted to build a dedicated home for contemporary literary fiction that moves beyond standard formulas. This press isn’t about relying on predictable patterns or algorithmic formulas. Instead, it is focused on structural depth, honest storytelling, and books that leave a real, lasting impression on readers.
The journey begins with my own published works as Ahrris Lihl, which serve as the foundational pillars of the press. Writing and producing these introductory titles has allowed me to establish a high standard for production quality and narrative structure from the ground up. These books represent the very first steps in building a carefully curated library of meaningful, lingering stories.

Our History
Ahrris Lihl Press was born out of a profound respect for the legacy of Black American literature. The concept for the press was forged during a time of intense national conversation surrounding literary access, serving as a dedicated effort to ensure diverse stories always find a permanent place on our shelves. We believe that a true literary landscape of Black American lives captures a wide spectrum of diverse realities and possibilities.
From its foundational catalog forward, the press has been guided by a dual purpose. We are dedicated to expanding access to age-appropriate literature of lasting value for school libraries and young readers around the world. Alongside this commitment, our primary publishing focus remains sophisticated adult fiction created for personal collections and public libraries.
